Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ivars Ivanovs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Brad!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanovs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ivanovs drops Brad with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brad looks back up at him and smiles so Ivanovs waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Chad Brad has been cut.
Brad clinches with his opponent.
Ivanovs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Brad stalling against the cage.
Ivanovs misses with a short punch on the inside.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ivanovs breaks the clinch.
Brad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brad lands in his opponent's guard.
Brad content to stall in guard here.
Brad throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ivanovs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brad sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Brad stands up and waves to Ivanovs to follow him.
Ivanovs moves into the clinch successfully.
Brad has had enough of the clinch but Ivanovs keeps him there for the moment.
Brad tries to pull guard but Ivanovs forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ivanovs avoiding damage as Brad throws knees to the body.
Ivanovs is trying to maintain a safe position but Brad gets an underhook and turns Ivanovs into the cage.
Ivanovs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ivanovs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brad closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brad lands in his opponent's guard.
Brad stands and steps away. Ivanovs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ivanovs lands with a straight right. Brad didn't see that one coming.
Brad finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Ivanovs's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Brad falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivars Ivanovs!
Our winner, Ivars Ivanovs, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
