Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Semmy Schilt (ranked 6581 p4p, 6505 weight class) and Frank Kurschmann (ranked 595 p4p, 592 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurschmann lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kurschmann looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kurschmann clinches.
Schilt taking a breather.
Schilt gets through Kurschmann's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Frank Kurschmann has been cut.

Kurschmann digs a right hand underneath Schilt's ribcage. Schilt let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Schilt cracks Kurschmann with a nice body shot.
The referee calls for Schilt to work.
Kurschmann tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Schilt lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Kurschmann goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kurschmann throws a head punch that misses.

Schilt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Schilt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Schilt lunges at Kurschmann with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kurschmann's hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kurschmann scores with the left hand. Schilt knows he should have avoided that one.
Kurschmann is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

and Schilt counters with a stiff right hand.
Schilt lands a nice hook to Kurschmann's body. Kurschmann takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Schilt throws a good cross that connects.
Schilt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Schilt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Schilt throws a body punch but Kurschmann moves out of range.

That has opened up Frank Kurschmann's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kurschmann with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Schilt to score with a decent uppercut.
Schilt keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

The crowd cheers as Schilt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kurschmann doesn't seem phased though.

The cut above Frank Kurschmann's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Kurschmann misses with an uppercut.
Schilt walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kurschmann drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Schilt swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kurschmann's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
