The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bizkit misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brutal shoots for a double leg takedown but Bizkit sprawls well. He's pushed Brutal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A combination from Bizkit does no damage.
Brutal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bizkit.
Brutal shoots in looking for a takedown. Bizkit tries to sprawl out of it but Brutal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bizkit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mister Brutal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brutal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Good leg kick by Brutal there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bizkit misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Brutal tries to pull guard but Bizkit won't allow it.

Bizkit has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brutal clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
You can see the frustration on Brutal's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bizkit wants to control but Brutal is keeping busy.
Bizkit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brutal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Brutal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brutal.
Bizkit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brutal's waist but Brutal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bizkit off to one side.
Brutal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brutal feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bizkit's calf.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brutal is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Brutal extends the arm and Bizkit is forced to tap!
