Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jore Maki (ranked 2527 p4p, 2213 weight class) and Tobias Funke (ranked 107 p4p, 91 weight class). Maki comes to the cage accompanied by Tyron Woodley . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jore Maki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tobias Funke!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Funke tries to clinch but Maki moves out of range.
Maki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Funke clinches up with Maki and pushes him back against the cage.
Funke working aggressively here.
Maki lands an uppercut.
Maki lands a body punch.
Maki lands a nice shot to the body.
Funke looks winded!
Funke throws a head punch that misses.

Maki misses with a hook to the ribs.
Maki scores with a nice hook to the head.
Funke's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Maki can't find room to land a body shot as Funke controls the action.

Maki pushes Funke back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maki throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Maki lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Maki tries to throw a body punch but Funke avoids it by throwing Maki back against the cage.

A left hand lands to the body for Maki.
Maki lands a hook to the side of the head.
Maki lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Funke backwards.

Maki tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Maki tries a body shot but Funke blocks it.
Maki lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Funke misses with some punches.

Maki unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Funke! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Maki is unloading with more strikes now! Funke drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jore Maki!
A determined Jore Maki didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
