Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland Weudke (ranked 803 p4p, 1275 weight class) and Mohsin Zaidi (ranked 120 p4p, 171 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roland Weudke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mohsin Zaidi!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaidi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Weudke was well out of range. Poor timing from Zaidi.
Weudke is looking for a counter combo.
Zaidi lands with an overhand left.
Weudke throws a low kick, looking for Zaidi's leg but Zaidi calmly moves out of range.
Zaidi throws a hook to the side of Weudke's head but Weudke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Good work by Weudke as he checks the leg kick.

and Weudke counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zaidi's knee momentarily.

Zaidi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Weudke pushes Zaidi off and scrambles back to his feet.
Weudke avoids the body shot from Zaidi.
Weudke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zaidi throws a body punch but Weudke moves out of range.
Weudke went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Zaidi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Weudke is trying to maintain the position but Zaidi is very close to passing his half guard.
Weudke is controlling Zaidi's trapped leg to prevent Zaidi from advancing to side control.

Weudke keeps control of the position for the meantime.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Weudke throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zaidi.
It seemed like Zaidi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Weudke takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Zaidi misses with a series of wild punches.
Weudke is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Weudke thumps Zaidi with a low kick.
Zaidi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Weudke's hands.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Weudke ducks right into an uppercut from Zaidi.

A little jabbing left from Zaidi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mohsin Zaidi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Weudke throws a leg kick but Zaidi moved away.
Zaidi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Weudke moves forwards but Zaidi connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Weudke throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zaidi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Weudke misses with a hook. Zaidi ducked under it nicely.

Zaidi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Weudke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaidi moves away.
Zaidi tries for a takedown but Weudke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As Zaidi looks to move away, Weudke throws a big counter combo but Zaidi just gets out of the way.

Weudke throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zaidi is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Weudke with a body shot.

Weudke throws the left hand but Zaidi avoids the punch easily.
Zaidi tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Zaidi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Weudke appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Zaidi throws a sloppy head kick and Weudke moves out of range easily.

The crowd cheers as Zaidi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Weudke doesn't seem phased though.
Zaidi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That kick from Weudke tenderised Zaidi's leg. Zaidi is trying to keep his angry face on.

Weudke seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Zaidi dips to his left and cracks Weudke with an uppercut!
Weudke takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Weudke throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Zaidi.

It looks like Mohsin Zaidi has been cut.

Zaidi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Weudke is able to avoid easily.
Zaidi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Weudke has time to react.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

My spies in Cloud9 inform me that Zaidi has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Zaidi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Weudke wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Weudke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Zaidi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Zaidi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Weudke parries the strikes from Zaidi easily there. Zaidi is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Weudke to escape.

Mohsin Zaidi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Mohsin Zaidi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zaidi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
