PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jordon (ranked 1839 p4p, 1179 weight class) and Paul Joseph Watson (ranked 230 p4p, 160 weight class). Jordon comes to the cage accompanied by Sticky Icky. Watson has chosen Anarchy in the UK as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Jordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Joseph Watson!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jordon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jordon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Watson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Watson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Watson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jordon is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jordon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Watson pulls his head out easily.

Watson gets to mount! Jordon was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Watson avoids the attempt from Jordon to control.
Jordon is controlling an arm, preventing Watson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Jordon wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
I really don't envy Jordon right now.

Watson has the hooks in. Jordon is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Watson is persistently looking for the submission but Jordon is defending it well.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jordon shoots in for a takedown but Watson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Poor strikes thrown by Watson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Watson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jordon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Paul Joseph Watson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Watson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Watson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jordon defends it well.

Watson swings for the body but Jordon moves out of range.
Jordon takes a kick to the side of the head.
Watson cracks Jordon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Watson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A less than humble Paul Joseph Watson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
