Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lashley Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall comes to the cage accompanied by pushing me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lashley Randall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miguel Diaz! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Randall pushes him off. Diaz tries to clinch up. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Randall sprawls well. Randall shoots in and bounces Diaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Randall controls from within his opponent's guard. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
Randall's corner is telling him to maintain position. Diaz controls Randall momentarily but Randall frees himself. Diaz has momentary wrist control but Randall slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Diaz is trying to keep Randall in close.
Randall showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diaz had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Randall is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Diaz Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Randall's back instead. Diaz is not going to allow Randall to sit and survive in this position. Randall is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Diaz working for a choke but Randall is defending well. Diaz looks gassed! Randall has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randall wants to control his opponent's hands but Diaz gets his hands free.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Lashley Randall just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Randall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Randall stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. Randall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Diaz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Randall stacks Diaz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Randall! Randall just content to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Randall is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Randall tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Diaz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Diaz gets full guard. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Diaz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Randall controls the pace. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz can't keep his opponent in guard - Randall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Diaz is trying to maintain the position but Randall is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Randall is looking for a kimura here.
Diaz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Randall is working away from the top position though. Diaz is concentrating on defense, preventing Randall from advancing position. Randall not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to improve his position but Randall is controlling well.
Randall is pressing down on Diaz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Diaz is holding on for now. Randall is thwarting Diaz's attempts to control the position. Diaz is trying to control but Randall passes into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Diaz regains half guard. Diaz wants to control but Randall is keeping busy and won't allow it. Randall with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Diaz gets full guard. Diaz wants to control but Randall passes easily into half guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, Miguel Diaz just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Randall drives through with a takedown into guard. Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Diaz wants to sweep here but Randall controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lashley Randall dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Diaz fails with the takedown and Randall counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Diaz's guard now. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Randall is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Randall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Randall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz trying to control the position.
Randall stays in close to Diaz's body and controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Randall is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
Randall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diaz trying to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Randall gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to control Randall's posture but Randall avoids it. Randall working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Diaz struggling a bit here. Randall cracks Diaz with a big right hand but Diaz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randall controlling the position from side mount. Randall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Randall gets to mount! Diaz was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Diaz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Diaz looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Lashley Randall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Diaz defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Randall is trying to stick to Diaz's back but Diaz is turning into Randall. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Randall's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Diaz. Randall pulls Diaz in close to his closed guard and prevents Diaz from doing any damage or advancing position. Diaz wants to control from the top but Randall keeps moving. Miguel Diaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lashley Randall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Randall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Lashley Randall showed his dominance in that final round. Well Randall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
