Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elay Arson (ranked 2428 p4p, 2123 weight class) and Keenwah Granes (ranked 268 p4p, 248 weight class). Arson comes to the cage accompanied by ALIEN WEAPONRY - Kai Tangata. The crowd seem to be enjoying Granes's choice of entrance music: 敢不敢. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elay Arson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keenwah Granes! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Arson misses. We've been informed that Granes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Arson is looking to chop away at Granes's legs. Nice body kick there by Granes. A nice inside leg kick there by Granes. That's going to slow Arson down. Arson throws a leg kick but Granes checks it. Arson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Granes's sensitive parts. Arson rushes Granes and presses him up against the cage. Granes breaks from the clinch.
Arson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Granes steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Granes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Granes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Arson is trying to defend but Granes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arson looking for submissions off his back. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Arson's guard. Granes prevents Arson from improving his position. Granes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Arson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Arson tries to hold on but Granes pushes him away. Arson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Arson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Granes keeping moving, preventing Arson from controlling successfully. Granes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Granes wants to sweep here but Arson controlling him for the moment. Arson with a nice head shot there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Keenwah Granes dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Arson slips a jab and a cross from Granes.
Arson throws a half hearted mid kick. Arson tries to clinch and Granes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Granes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Arson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Arson avoids a kick to the body.

It looks like Keenwah Granes has been cut. Arson tries to clinch up. Granes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

A head kick misses from Arson. Arson lands a leg kick that knocks Granes off balance momentarily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Granes checks a leg kick. Arson throws a head kick but Granes moves out of range.
A jab from Granes does it's job there. Arson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Arson.
Arson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Elay Arson is winning the standup battle so far. Arson wants to clinch but Granes slips to the side and Granes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Arson! Granes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Arson is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Granes scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Arson to see if he's OK. Arson holding on. Granes wants to control but Arson is keeping him busy. Granes cracks Arson with a big right hand but Arson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Granes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arson keeps working. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Granes. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Arson tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Granes just content to control the position. Arson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arson is trying to work for a kimura but Granes is defending well.

Granes is looking for a sweep. Arson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Keenwah Granes has got the better of the ground game so far. Arson wants to pass to mount but Granes is defending the position. Arson is working hard here to advance position. Arson seems to be working for a kimura but Granes defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Granes wants to improve his position but Arson is controlling well.

Arson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Arson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Arson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Granes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Granes lands a front kick. Granes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Granes blocks the body kick.
Granes throws out a counter right but Arson avoids it with no problem. Granes throws a hook but Arson avoids it easily. Arson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Granes is trying to counter with his kicks. Granes throws a quick inside leg kick. Arson looks to clinch and Granes counters with a one-two to the body. Arson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Arson wants to clinch up but Granes keeps it at a distance. Granes with a body punch. A glancing blow. Granes keeps the fight on the outside. Granes lands a slapping body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action! Arson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Elay Arson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Granes throws a series of punches but Arson avoids them all with ease. Arson misses with a body punch

That's one minute gone in the round. Arson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Arson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Arson pushing down on Granes's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Arson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Granes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Arson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Arson's back! Arson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Arson trying to control the hands but Granes breaks the grip. Arson can't escape the position.
Granes lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Keenwah Granes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Granes trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Arson doesn't escape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arson breaks Granes's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Granes has his foot on Arson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arson works his way back into a safe position though. Arson passes into half guard. Arson seems to be looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Arson has gone for a leg lock! Granes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Arson's guard. Granes trying to control the position from guard on top but Arson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Granes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Arson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Granes's guard. Arson wants to pass the guard but Granes is keeping the position. Arson throws a big right hand that misses.

Arson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Granes is trying to control the position but Arson postures up. Granes wants to sweep but no luck. Granes pulls Arson in close to prevent any damage. Granes working a defensive guard here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Granes is on top in guard.
Granes preventing the sweep. Elay Arson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Arson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Granes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! Keenwah Granes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Granes winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
