Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Alvarez (ranked 2003 p4p, 3113 weight class) and Gabino Gonzales (ranked 270 p4p, 389 weight class). Gabino Gonzales will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales misses with a two punch combination.
Gonzales throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Gonzales jabs Alvarez right on the nose. Alvarez blinks but takes it well.

Alvarez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Alvarez has Gonzales pressed against the cage, preventing Gonzales from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Alvarez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gonzales is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Alvarez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzales can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
