Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Markel Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Brees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Markel Hamilton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brett Brees! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brees changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hamilton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brees tries to advance to mount but Hamilton denies him. Brees working the ground and pound but Hamilton is defending the strikes. Hamilton wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Hamilton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Brees tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hamilton is pushing Brees's head away, looking to escape. Brees manages to hold on to the position though. Hamilton is not content to let Brees control the position. Brees throws an elbow but Hamilton slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brees swings around for an armbar but Hamilton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brees's guard. Brees had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hamilton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brees Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hamilton's back instead. Brees looks gassed! Hamilton looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Brees working for a choke but Hamilton is defending well. Hamilton trying to get back to his feet but Brees is in full control for now. Hamilton fending off the submission attempt from Brees. Hamilton fending off the submission attempt from Brees.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamilton is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Brees misses with punches from the back. Hamilton wants to get back to his feet. Brees has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamilton is trying to stand back up. Brees looking to break Hamilton's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hamilton remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brees will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Hamilton defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Brees's arms. Hamilton is trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brees looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Hamilton grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Brees patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Hamilton wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes. Brees is working for a guillotine from mount but Hamilton frees his head quite easily.
Brees jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hamilton manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brett Brees dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Hamilton throws a leg kick but Brees sees it coming and moves out of range. Hamilton stuffs the takedown. A nice combination there by Hamilton.
Brees on the wrong end of a nice jab. Excellent takedown into side control there by Brees. Brees is looking to take a break and control but Hamilton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brees working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hamilton is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brees has just dragged him back down to the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brees in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Hamilton is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
