The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Purcell has Hendersons up against the cage in a clinch.
Hendersons is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Purcell to keep the fight standing.
Purcell struggles to land a body shot inside as Hendersons controls his hands.
A right hook to the body lands for Purcell.
Hendersons blocks an uppercut.
Purcell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Purcell misses with a punch on the inside.
Purcell lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Purcell is pressed up against the cage. Hendersons has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Purcell down to the mat. Purcell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hendersons fails to land with a series of punches.

Purcell has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Hendersons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Purcell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hendersons manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendersons closes the distance and clinches up with Purcell, looking for a takedown. Hendersons pushes Purcell against the cage but Purcell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Purcell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hendersons is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Hendersons tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Purcell smiles and moves away.
Purcell misses with a hook. Hendersons ducked under it nicely.
Hendersons tries to counter with a takedown but Purcell is quick to defend against it.

Purcell is trying to escape back to his feet but Hendersons uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Hendersons postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hendersons is trying to get an arm triangle but Purcell is defending well.
Hendersons prevents Purcell from escaping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Purcell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Purcell works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hendersons is looking to work some ground and pound but Purcell has wrist control.
Hendersons has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Purcell wants to stand but Hendersons is controlling the position.
Hendersons is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Brazilian Top Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
