Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Curtis Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beltran tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beltran to the ground. Beltran escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Beltran gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Beltran fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Davis tries to clinch up. Davis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Beltran trying to control here.
Davis slips a nice elbow through Beltran's hands, connecting with Beltran's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Davis thows a huge punch but Beltran dodges it nicely.
Davis lands with a punch from half guard. Davis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beltran defends it well. Beltran taking some punishment here, with Davis in his half guard. Davis winds up and cracks Beltran with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis lands with a punch from half guard. Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Beltran has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davis is working away from the top position though. Beltran is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Davis is staying active. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beltran might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Davis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Beltran has his hands clasped together around Davis's back. He's all about the action. Davis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Beltran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Beltran wants to get back to full guard. Beltran is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Davis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Beltran swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis. Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis misses with a wild body shot. No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Davis wants to clinch. Davis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beltran misses with a takedown attempt and Davis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis wants to clinch. Davis connects with a body shot. Nice jab there from Davis. Davis rushes Beltran with punches - Beltran moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Beltran goes down! Davis follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
