Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sexy Fighter (ranked 24233 p4p, 24241 weight class) and Poison Ivy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sexy Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Poison Ivy!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Ivy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It appears Fighter was looking to counter with a kick there.
Fighter fails with the takedown
and Ivy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fighter's knee momentarily.
Fighter looks for a takedown but Ivy sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fighter counters with a slapping leg kick.

Ivy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Let's hope that Ivy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Fighter manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Fighter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ivy raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Fighter shoots in but no luck this time.

Fighter shoots for a takedown but Ivy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ivy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ivy lands in his opponent's guard.
Fighter is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ivy dives into side control.

Ivy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ivy decides to stand back up. Ivy steps back and let's Fighter get back to his feet.

Ivy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter tries to avoid it but Ivy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter to the ground. Fighter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And Fighter counters with a quick kick to the body but Ivy blocks it.
Fighter shoots in but Ivy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fighter shoots in for a double leg but Ivy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fighter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ivy circles away.

Ivy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fighter quickly recovers to half guard.
Fighter wants to stand back up but Ivy manages to pass into side control.

Ivy decides to stand back up. Ivy steps back and let's Fighter get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fighter enables Ivy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fighter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ivy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ivy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ivy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Fighter gets caught napping as Ivy dives in and scores a takedown. Fighter manages to retain guard.

Fighter manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ivy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Fighter as Ivy shoots in.

Fighter has his takedown stuffed
and Ivy counters with a nice body kick.
Fighter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ivy pinned against the cage. Ivy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ivy feints and as Fighter raises his hands in defense, Ivy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fighter has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ivy is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ivy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Poison Ivy will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ivy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Ivy decides to stand up.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Fighter dives in and scores a takedown into Ivy's guard.

Ivy is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Fighter presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Fighter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ivy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fighter swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Fighter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ivy tries to avoid it but Fighter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ivy to the ground. Ivy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ivy.
Fighter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Ivy is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fighter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Fighter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ivy has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Ivy stands up and beckons Fighter to his feet.
Ivy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fighter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ivy somewhat.

Fighter tries for a takedown but Ivy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ivy steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Ivy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fighter throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Ivy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fighter has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ivy has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Sexy Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Poison Ivy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ivy is standing up over Fighter. Fighter looks to escape but Ivy dives into side control.

Sexy Fighter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ivy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
