Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Reepo (ranked 4662 p4p, 4642 weight class) and Akio Kurosaki (ranked 217 p4p, 216 weight class). Reepo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Going Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akio Kurosaki!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reepo swings for the body but Kurosaki moves out of range.
Kurosaki with the counter takedown but Reepo avoids it easily.

It looks like Akio Kurosaki has been cut.
Reepo lands a glancing blow to the side of Kurosaki's head.
Kurosaki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kurosaki wants the takedown. Reepo is fighting it off but Kurosaki persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reepo's guard against the cage.
Reepo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reepo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Reepo tries to get out of the position.

Reepo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kurosaki pulls his head out easily.

Kurosaki engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Reepo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kurosaki's guard.

Reepo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kurosaki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reepo, into his guard.


Reepo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kurosaki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kurosaki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reepo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
