Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dany Leblond (ranked 2506 p4p, 3625 weight class) and Gunnar Bloodaxe (ranked 330 p4p, 465 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gunnar Bloodaxe was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dany Leblond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Bloodaxe!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblond slips a straight right by Bloodaxe.
Bloodaxe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leblond.
Bloodaxe throws a big counter head kick but Leblond avoids it with no problem.
Leblond looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bloodaxe is fending him off so far but Leblond persists. Nope, Bloodaxe circles away and we're back to standing.
Bloodaxe connects with a leg kick.
Leblond gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bloodaxe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leblond is defended easily by Bloodaxe.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bloodaxe! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dany Leblond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leblond misses the body punch
and Bloodaxe counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Leblond is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leblond looks to throw the jab but Bloodaxe is out of range.

Leblond is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bloodaxe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

It looks like Dany Leblond has been cut.

Bloodaxe lands a big head kick that sends Leblond tumbling to the mat! Bloodaxe takes a step backwards and waves Leblond back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Leblond is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bloodaxe ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Leblond's jaw. Leblond's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Bloodaxe does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
