Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Sidebar (ranked 2429 p4p, 3170 weight class) and Bautista Laguna (ranked 315 p4p, 410 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Sidebar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bautista Laguna!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sidebar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sidebar.
Laguna throws a lazy right hand but Sidebar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Laguna uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sidebar.
Sidebar throws a lazy body kick
and Laguna counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sidebar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Laguna manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sidebar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Laguna darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Laguna clinches with his opponent.
Sidebar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Laguna after a bit of a struggle.
Laguna is trying to pull guard but Sidebar has him pressed against the cage.
Laguna pushes Sidebar back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

We've been hearing reports that Sidebar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Sidebar can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Laguna has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sidebar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sidebar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Laguna will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Sidebar in side control lands a decent elbow.
Sidebar has hold of Laguna's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Laguna seems comfortable defending it but Sidebar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Laguna is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Laguna is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sidebar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
