Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Landry Stephenson (ranked 24536 p4p, 5651 weight class) and Jason Voorhees (ranked 638 p4p, 544 weight class). Landry Stephenson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Landry Stephenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Voorhees! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voorhees looks to land a left hand but Stephenson moved out of range nicely. Stephenson scores with a takedown into Voorhees's guard. Voorhees is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Stephenson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Voorhees is trying to break the clinch but Stephenson has him pressed against the cage. Stephenson is looking to take this one to the mat. Voorhees is looking to break free of the clinch but Stephenson has double underhooks. Stephenson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Voorhees wriggles free and stands up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice cross by Voorhees. Stephenson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Voorhees throws a jab when Stephenson was well out of range. Voorhees jabs Stephenson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nice cross by Voorhees. Voorhees misses with a hook
and Stephenson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stephenson working over Voorhees with some ground and pound. Voorhees looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Stephenson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Stephenson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Voorhees has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Stephenson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Stephenson working for a guillotine from mount but Voorhees is in no mood to give up. Voorhees wants to hold on but Stephenson pushes him away. Voorhees really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stephenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Voorhees holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Stephenson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Voorhees tries to hold on but Stephenson pushes him away. Stephenson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stephenson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Voorhees can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Stephenson wants to finish this one by submission but Voorhees is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stephenson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stephenson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Stephenson lands a big elbow. Stephenson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Stephenson working for a submission but Voorhees is keeping him at bay. Stephenson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Voorhees is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Voorhees wants to control but Stephenson is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Voorhees can do anything to dispel that myth. Stephenson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Stephenson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Voorhees is surviving well by controlling Stephenson's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voorhees tries to hold on but Stephenson postures up. Voorhees is in all sorts of trouble here.
Voorhees defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Stephenson. Stephenson is landing with some decent strikes but Voorhees is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Voorhees is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Stephenson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Voorhees is forced to tap!
