Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, No Way!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Way misses with a combination
enabling Morgan to counter with a crisp jab.
Sloppy strikes from Morgan. Those never looked like landing.
Good work by Morgan as he checks the leg kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Morgan.
Morgan tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Morgan in side control, throwing shots but Way defends.
Way defending against the ground and pound.
Morgan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Morgan looks up at the clock and then as Way takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Morgan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Morgan cracks Way with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Morgan wants to control but Way is keeping him busy.
Morgan throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Way works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Morgan is trying to control the action in half guard but Way is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Way avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Morgan.

Morgan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Morgan scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Morgan looks to land a strike but Way avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morgan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Morgan wants to pass the guard but Way is keeping the position.
Morgan throws a big right hand that misses.
Morgan trying to control the position from guard on top but Way is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Morgan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Morgan wants to control from the top but Way keeps moving.

Morgan is looking to work some ground and pound but Way has wrist control.
Morgan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morgan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Morgan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Way swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Way throws a series of punches but Morgan moves out of range.
Morgan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Way.
Morgan keeps the fight on the outside.
Way throws a nice looking combination but Morgan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Morgan cracks Way with a right hand to the side of the head.
Way tries to close the distance and clinch but Morgan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Morgan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Way shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Way lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Morgan backs up against the cage.
Morgan scores with a sloppy right hand. Way should have avoided that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morgan catches Way with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Way forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Josh Morgan!
Our winner, Josh Morgan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
