Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tekashi Muramato (ranked 4359 p4p, 3908 weight class) and Robbie Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tekashi Muramato had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tekashi Muramato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robbie Lawler! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muramato throws a shot to the body.
Lawler misses with a takedown attempt - Muramato sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Muramato lands a nice shot to the body.
Lawler dives in for a single leg takedown but Muramato sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Muramato scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Muramato displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lawler. Tekashi Muramato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Lawler. Muramato's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lawler under the eye. Lawler goes for a double leg but Muramato avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Muramato continues to drive forward. Muramato works over Lawler's head and body with a nice combination. Muramato scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Muramato throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lawler moves into the clinch. Muramato wants to get back to striking at distance but Lawler won't allow it.

Muramato breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muramato fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lawler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Muramato makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Muramato displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Lawler throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Muramato tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lawler is in Muramato's guard. Muramato is pulling down on Lawler's head to control his posture. Lawler content to stall in guard here. Muramato keeping moving, preventing Lawler from controlling successfully. Lawler stays in close to Muramato's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lawler working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Muramato on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Muramato tries to get out of the position. Lawler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lawler tries to free his leg and advance position but Muramato is retaining full guard. Muramato looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lawler sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Muramato lands with a nice body punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lawler takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawler closes the distance but Muramato moves to the side and Muramato counters with a straight right hand.
Lawler is rocked! Lawler ducks into an uppercut from Muramato and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tekashi Muramato!
