Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ralo Gracie (ranked 6225 p4p, 4340 weight class) and Jestoni Hawk (ranked 704 p4p, 549 weight class). Jestoni Hawk struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jestoni Hawk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ralo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jestoni Hawk! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hawk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A lull in the action here as Gracie stalls from top position. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawk wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hawk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hawk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie controlling the position. Hawk misses with a strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hawk struggling a bit here. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie advances to mount. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie prevents Hawk from getting the reversal. Gracie throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hawk because Gracie loaded up on that one. Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gracie thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Hawk takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hawk prevents Gracie from taking his back. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hawk regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie stalling. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ralo Gracie dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Gracie throws a body punch but Hawk moves out of range. Hawk tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard. Hawk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie. Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Hawk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hawk. Gracie prevents Hawk from getting the reversal. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawk tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hawk really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Hawk has given up his back here. Will Gracie look for the submission or keep pounding away?
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hawk to escape the position.
Hawk tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Gracie has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Hawk is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
