River is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica: Enter Sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bernhard River!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River throws a front kick that sends Nouveau stumbling back into the cage.
River punishes Nouveau's body with a nice straight punch.
River defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nouveau.
Nouveau with a lazy takedown attempt
and River counters with a low kick, right behind Nouveau 's knee.
Nouveau takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
River fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nouveau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nouveau gets a clinch.
We've been informed that River has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Nouveau gets control of River's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nouveau will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nouveau not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
River trying to control but Nouveau is working from the bottom.
River is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
River stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Nouveau has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! River manages to get his head free but now Nouveau has transitioned to an armbar! River grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Nouveau! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
