Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Rodgers (ranked 1059 p4p, 1109 weight class) and Balthazar Baker (ranked 147 p4p, 162 weight class). Balthazar Baker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Rodgers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balthazar Baker! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodgers staying out of range there. Baker misses with a wild body shot. Baker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Baker sitting in guard, not really doing much. Baker stopping the sweep attempt from Rodgers. Rodgers keeping moving, preventing Baker from controlling successfully. Baker passes Rodgers's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baker trying to control the action but Rodgers is working from the bottom. Baker is looking for a kimura but Rodgers is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Baker to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker is keen to just control but Rodgers is a slippery customer. Baker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Baker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Baker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Baker works his way into full mount! Rodgers has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Rodgers taking shots to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodgers is in a horrible position here. Baker smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Baker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Baker looking to finish with strikes here!
Baker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rodgers is looking to escape. Baker postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Rodgers in real trouble here! The ref calls for Rodgers to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Balthazar Baker! During a confident post fight interview, Balthazar Baker thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
