Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deon Carruthers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, GameBred Masvidal!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carruthers with a poor takedown
and Masvidal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carruthers has his takedown stuffed
and Masvidal counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Carruthers fails in his attempt to clinch.
Masvidal lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Masvidal throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Carruthers colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Masvidal as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Carruthers is left battered and dazed whilst Masvidal and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). GameBred Masvidal!
GameBred Masvidal was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
