Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adamant Knight (ranked 5158 p4p, 3699 weight class) and Peter Konrad (ranked 595 p4p, 465 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Peter Konrad enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adamant Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Konrad!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konrad tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Knight swivels and escapes.
Konrad goes for a double leg but Knight avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Knight continues to drive forward.
Konrad darts in looking for a takedown but Knight gets double underhooks and turns Konrad into the cage.
Adamant Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Konrad.

Knight shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Konrad pushes Knight off looking to stand but Knight dives back in and keeps control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Knight lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knight tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Knight has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You can see the frustration on Konrad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Konrad closes the distance and clinches up with Knight, looking for a takedown. Konrad pushes Knight against the cage but Knight circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Knight throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Konrad was covering up waiting for the punch and Knight finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Knight is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Knight scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Konrad wants to sweep but no luck.
Knight working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Konrad's head.
Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Konrad swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Knight is working Konrad over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Knight connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Konrad shoots in looking for a takedown but Knight manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Konrad's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Konrad is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Knight presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Knight has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Konrad takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Knight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Konrad on the ground.
Knight remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Konrad pushes Knight away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Knight gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Knight is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Konrad's shoulder. That is not cool.
Konrad is trying to control Knight's posture but Knight avoids it.
Konrad takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Adamant Knight is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Knight.
