PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manu Ahonen (ranked 2174 p4p, 2714 weight class) and Johny Handicks (ranked 76 p4p, 102 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Manu Ahonen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Manu Ahonen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Handicks takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Handicks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ahonen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Handicks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ahonen is in Handicks's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
