PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Surianglek Sitsongrit (ranked 2369 p4p, 1683 weight class) and Moana Tautua (ranked 286 p4p, 213 weight class). Moana Tautua told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit throws a nice outside leg kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tautua has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sitsongrit lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Sitsongrit throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sitsongrit is looking to wear down Tautua with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Tautua covers up and Sitsongrit unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Surianglek Sitsongrit decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
