Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lyoha Nagibatel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarlaxle Baenre!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baenre tries to land a front kick but Nagibatel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Baenre throws a lazy head kick
and Nagibatel counters with a straight right hand.
Baenre throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nagibatel.
Nagibatel checks a low kick from Baenre.
It looked like Nagibatel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Baenre misses with a straight left.
A nice leg kick from Baenre, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nagibatel slips under a jab from Baenre.

Jarlaxle Baenre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nagibatel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looked like Nagibatel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Nagibatel lands a big uppercut and Baenre crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Baenre looks OK. Nagibatel waves Baenre back to his feet!
Baenre is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nagibatel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baenre let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Baenre is still on wobbly legs! Can Nagibatel finish him?
Nagibatel has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nagibatel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Baenre sprawling to the canvas! Baenre rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Nagibatel finish him?!

Baenre looks to throw a body kick
and Nagibatel counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Baenre badly! Nagibatel follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Baenre out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Nagibatel finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lyoha Nagibatel!
