Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis forces Ferreira back against the cage and clinches.
Ferreira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ferreira goes for a takedown attempt but Davis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ferreira tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ferreira misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Ferreira tries to get set, Davis tries to push him back and clinch up but Ferreira manages to avoid the attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ferreira.
Chris Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Ferreira.
Davis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis knocks Ferreira to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Davis is looking to take a break and control but Ferreira is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferreira on the ground.
Davis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ferreira to his feet.
