Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Bridges (ranked 4256 p4p, 4900 weight class) and Tony Stat (ranked 503 p4p, 556 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Bridges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Stat! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Stat or perhaps it was just good defense by Bridges, which made it look bad. Stat's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bridges under the eye. Stat fails in his attempt to clinch. Lucas Bridges seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bridges displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stat. Bridges looks to land a combination. Stat sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Tony Stat has been cut. Bridges fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stat, pushing him back against the cage. Bridges breaks the clinch.
Stat fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lucas Bridges has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Stat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bridges gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bridges escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stat scores with a jab to the jaw. Nice sprawl there from Bridges as Stat shoots in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stat doesn't manage to clinch there - Bridges circles away.
Stat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bridges fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stat, pushing him back against the cage. Bridges's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stat doesn't manage to clinch there - Bridges circles away.
Bridges misses with a hook
and Stat counters with a nice body shot. Stat fails with a takedown attempt. A jab from Bridges misses. Stat throws out a counter right but Bridges avoids it with no problem. Bridges throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stat tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bridges is in Stat's guard. Bridges looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Bridges is breathing heavily. Stat looking to control.
Stat looking for a guillotine here but Bridges defends easily.
Stat tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridges wants to stand but Stat is controlling his posture from full guard. Bridges cracks Stat with a solid left hand. Bridges knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stat on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bridges is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stat has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bridges is looking to defend but Stat has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bridges! Stat pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bridges taps out and this one is all over!
