Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Neer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Jones!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands with a straight right. Neer didn't see that one coming.
Neer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Neer's guard.
Neer wants to get back to his feet but Jones passes into half guard.
Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Neer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Neer is defending the position.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Neer keeps working.
Jones takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jones trying to control the action but Neer is working from the bottom.
Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Neer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Neer is trying to control but can't.
Jones trying to mount his opponent but Neer defends it.
Jones has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Neer defend it? Jones steps over the head and cranks it - Neer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jones!
