Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike McGuire (ranked 2009 p4p, 1039 weight class) and Dai Zexi (ranked 273 p4p, 146 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Jekyll And Hyde. Zexi has chosen BRADIO-Flyers as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mike McGuire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dai Zexi!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire missing with a left hand there. Zexi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McGuire lands a jab to the head.
McGuire misses with a looping left.
Nice uppercut lands for McGuire. That snapped Zexi's head back.
McGuire scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
McGuire throws a hook to the side of Zexi's head but Zexi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGuire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zexi was well out of range. Poor timing from McGuire.
Zexi throws out a counter right but McGuire avoids it with no problem.

McGuire is looking to stand up but Zexi isn't so interested in that idea.
Zexi tries to free his leg and advance position but McGuire is retaining full guard.

Zexi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGuire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zexi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
McGuire will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Zexi won't allow McGuire to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
McGuire walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Mike McGuire has been cut.
Mike McGuire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGuire lands a nice hook to Zexi's body. Zexi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McGuire lands a leg kick that knocks Zexi off balance momentarily.

It seemed like Zexi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McGuire lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

McGuire ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zexi moves away.
Zexi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McGuire ducks straight into an uppercut from Zexi and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - McGuire manages to regain guard straight away.

McGuire tries to bum rush Zexi with a series of wild strikes but Zexi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McGuire is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Zexi throws a lazy right hand but McGuire sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McGuire lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

McGuire is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGuire, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
