PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy comes to the cage accompanied by Ol' Dirty Bastard - Shimmy Shimmy Ya. Bobby Skinner will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ron Jeremy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Skinner!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeremy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Skinner.
Skinner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jeremy tries to avoid it but Skinner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jeremy to the ground. Jeremy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Skinner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jeremy.
Jeremy stalks Skinner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Skinner's face. Skinner staggers backwards, shaken.
Jeremy lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Jeremy as Skinner shoots in.
Jeremy jabs Skinner right on the nose. Skinner blinks but takes it well.
Skinner tries to close the distance and clinch but Jeremy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jeremy scores with a decent looking hook.
Jeremy looks to score with a jab to the body but Skinner is just out of range.

Skinner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jeremy was covering up waiting for the punch and Skinner finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jeremy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jeremy tries to strike from the bottom.

Jeremy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Skinner is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jeremy tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jeremy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Skinner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jeremy lands a glancing blow to the side of Skinner's head.
Jeremy misses with the combination.
Jeremy misses the shot to the body.
Skinner thows a body kick. Jeremy tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Jeremy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jeremy lands in his opponent's guard.
Jeremy is breathing heavily.
Jeremy is looking to work some ground and pound but Skinner has wrist control.
Jeremy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Skinner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Skinner is on top in guard.
Skinner is standing up over Jeremy. Jeremy looks to escape but Skinner dives into side control.

Skinner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jeremy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jeremy looks to move to half guard but instead Skinner has passed into mount! Damn!
Jeremy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jeremy is working hard here to advance position.
Jeremy looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Skinner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jeremy manages to reverse the position and now he's in Skinner's guard. Nice work there by Jeremy.
Skinner wants to sweep here but Jeremy controlling him for the moment.
Skinner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jeremy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Skinner, up you get!

Jeremy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jeremy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jeremy moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Skinner has worked his arm free - good work by Skinner!
Skinner tries to bench press Jeremy off him but Jeremy keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Skinner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jeremy stalks Skinner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Skinner's face. Skinner staggers backwards, shaken.

Jeremy throws a combination. Skinner tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Skinner moves in looking to clinch but Jeremy pushes him off.
Jeremy cracks a nice hook into Skinner's ribs.
Jeremy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Skinner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Skinner, right into the meat.
Ron Jeremy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Skinner closes the distance and clinches up with Jeremy, looking for a takedown. Skinner pushes Jeremy against the cage but Jeremy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jeremy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Skinner.
Jeremy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Skinner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jeremy.

Donk. Jeremy catches Skinner right on the button with a cross.
Jeremy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Jeremy keeps the fight on the outside.
Jeremy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Skinner on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Skinner tries to clinch there but Jeremy circles away.
Jeremy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Skinner has time to react.

Skinner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jeremy pushes Skinner off and scrambles back to his feet.

Skinner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Skinner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Jeremy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
