Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lydon (ranked 276 p4p, 394 weight class) and Gauthier Delisle (ranked 44 p4p, 64 weight class). Lydon comes into the arena with Queen - Don't Stop Me Now blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delisle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lydon manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Delisle fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lydon to the ground. Delisle is now in Lydon's guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Delisle is trying to control. Lydon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Delisle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lydon tries to avoid it but Delisle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lydon to the ground. Lydon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Gauthier Delisle has been cut.
Delisle looks to land a right hand but Lydon moved out of range.
Delisle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lydon.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Delisle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lydon is staying active underneath Delisle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lydon tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Delisle manages to move to mount!

Lydon is looking to improve his position but Delisle isn't that keen on the idea.
Lydon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Delisle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lydon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Delisle is tightening it up a little... Lydon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lydon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lydon taps out! Nice BJJ there by Delisle!
