Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darry Curtis (ranked 1052 p4p, 1086 weight class) and Enzo Salvatore (ranked 142 p4p, 147 weight class). Salvatore has chosen Reich mir die Hand as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 27 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Darry Curtis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enzo Salvatore! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvatore lands a slapping body shot.
Curtis misses the jab. Salvatore throws a body shot but no joy. A nice leg kick from Curtis, right into the meat of the thigh.
Salvatore avoids the body shot from Curtis.
Curtis sets himself, and Salvatore steps forward looking for the clinch! Curtis avoids it this time. A big right from Curtis misses. Curtis sizes up Salvatore with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Salvatore looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Curtis scores with the left hand. Salvatore knows he should have avoided that one. Salvatore takes the fight into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Curtis. Salvatore blocking some punches.
Salvatore jumps guard but Curtis stands there with Salvatore around his waist. Salvatore gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Curtis. Our sources have told us that Curtis has been working on his elbows in the gym. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Curtis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvatore avoiding damage as Curtis throws knees to the body.
Salvatore tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Curtis has a couple of punches blocked by Salvatore.
Curtis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Salvatore's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Salvatore is pushing Curtis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A nice left hand lands by Curtis.
Curtis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salvatore tries to land a body kick and Curtis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Salvatore darts in and clinches Curtis up against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Curtis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curtis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Salvatore keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Curtis throws a lazy body kick and Salvatore counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Salvatore. This has been an exciting period of action! Salvatore drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Curtis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Salvatore has Curtis in his guard. Salvatore controls Curtis momentarily but Curtis frees himself. Salvatore is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Salvatore looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvatore scores with a short punch from the bottom. Salvatore looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Curtis has picked Salvatore up and slammed him! Salvatore can't keep hold of the triangle and Curtis manages to pass to side control! Salvatore struggling a bit here. Salvatore is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Curtis is trying to control the action in half guard but Salvatore is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Salvatore wants to improve his position but Curtis is controlling well.
Salvatore is not content to let Curtis control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvatore tries to kick Curtis off but Curtis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Salvatore keeps control of the position for the meantime. Curtis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salvatore on the ground. Salvatore is trying to stand up here but Curtis is controlling him well. Curtis stalling. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Curtis wants to control but Salvatore is keeping him busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Darry Curtis dominated that round. That's time! Curtis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Curtis leaves Salvatore with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Curtis looks to score with a jab to the body but Salvatore is just out of range. Curtis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvatore can do to turn this around? Salvatore goes for a double leg but Curtis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Curtis continues to drive forward. Curtis throws a body punch but Salvatore moves out of range. Darry Curtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salvatore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Curtis goes for a high kick. It partially lands. The fight stays on the outside here - Salvatore looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Curtis throws a nice inside leg kick. Salvatore dives in for a single leg takedown but Curtis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Darry Curtis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enzo Salvatore. Curtis looks to land a right hand but Salvatore moved out of range. Salvatore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Curtis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvatore rushes Curtis and presses him up against the cage. Salvatore manages to pull guard.
Curtis stops Salvatore from standing up. Salvatore lands a good elbow from the bottom. Salvatore is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Curtis wants to control from the top but Salvatore keeps moving. Salvatore looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Curtis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Salvatore is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Curtis scores with a hook to the body. Salvatore takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Curtis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Salvatore on the side of the head. Darry Curtis is winning the standup battle so far. Curtis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Salvatore counters with a one-two to the body. Salvatore throws a lazy head kick and Curtis counters with a stiff right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salvatore takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Curtis misses with a wild body shot. Curtis keeps the fight on the outside. Curtis throwing a counter right hand but Salvatore manages to avoid it. Curtis clinches with his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curtis tries to work over Salvatore's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Curtis prevents a body shot from Salvatore. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Curtis. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Curtis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Salvatore tries for a takedown. No joy.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Curtis. Curtis displaying some good clinch control by pressing Salvatore up against the cage. Curtis throws a head punch that misses. Salvatore manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curtis throws a nice outside leg kick. Salvatore takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Curtis looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Salvatore tries for a takedown but Curtis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Salvatore throws a body shot but no joy. Curtis tests Salvatore's chin there with a solid looking shot. A momentary lapse in concentration from Curtis enables Salvatore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Curtis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salvatore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Curtis has control of Salvatore's left arm, preventing Salvatore from doing any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Darry Curtis dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Salvatore moves forwards but Curtis connects with a nice, crisp jab. Curtis throws a good cross that connects.
Salvatore is rocked! Curtis sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Salvatore's defenses. It connects perfectly with Salvatore's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
