Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Murray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damen Mayer!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer throws a body punch but Murray moves out of range.
Murray dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Mayer takes one to the side of the head.
Mayer swings for the body but Murray moves out of range.
Mayer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Murray works Mayer's body with a nice hook.

Mayer scores with a shot to the body.
Mayer looks to score with a jab to the body but Murray is just out of range.
Murray slips a straight right by Mayer.
Mayer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Murray connects with a crisp jab.
Mayer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mayer shoots in looking for a takedown but Murray manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mayer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Murray moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mayer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Murray connects with a looping right hand.
Murray darts in and clinches Mayer up against the cage.

Mayer lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mayer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Murray just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mayer trying to control the position but instead, Murray has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mayer into the cage.
Murray breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mayer moves away from the strike by Murray.
And Mayer tries to counter it with a takedown but Murray pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mayer lands a right hook to the body.
Murray gets tackled into the cage by Mayer. Mayer maintains the clinch.
Mayer has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Murray after a bit of a struggle.
Alex Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damen Mayer.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Murray creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Come on Murray - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Mayer jumps guard but Murray turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Murray lands with a light punch inside.
Murray has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Mayer throws a head punch that misses.
Murray tries to throw a body punch but Mayer avoids it by throwing Murray back against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mayer can't get the takedown.
Murray will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mayer up against the cage.

Murray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mayer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murray's back!

Mayer working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Murray is doing well to defend. Mayer seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Murray is forced to tap and this one is over!
