Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Humphrey Baker (ranked 1991 p4p, 2169 weight class) and Seiryu Machida (ranked 297 p4p, 325 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Machida.
Baker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Baker moves out of range of the leg kick from Machida.
Machida takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Machida tries to work over Baker's front leg with a kick but Baker checks it.
Baker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Machida scores with a nice body kick.
Machida throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Baker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machida looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A nice leg kick lands there from Machida.
Machida pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Baker avoids the head kick by Machida.

Machida has taken the fight to the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Machida's elbow.
Machida lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Machida lands an elbow inside that Baker shrugs off.
Baker takes a knee right on the jaw!
Baker tries to break free but Machida pushes him back against the cage.
Baker tries to circle away but Machida has him pinned against the cage.
Baker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Baker lands a right hand.
Baker swings wildly with an uppercut but Machida uses good head movement to avoid it.
Machida lands a damaging elbow.
Machida blocks a body shot from Baker.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Machida.

Baker is rocked!
Machida has Baker pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Baker is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Machida - that's hurt Baker badly! Oh, another knee lands and Baker is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Baker doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Seiryu Machida!
After the fight, Seiryu Machida was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
