Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rect Umm (ranked 66 p4p, 128 weight class) and Boo Lee (ranked 11 p4p, 27 weight class). Lee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mama Said Knock You Out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boo Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Umm is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Umm throws a big counter combination but Lee scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Lee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A close round but Boo Lee will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Umm chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lee can pounce on him.
Lee fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Umm counters with a low kick, right behind Lee 's knee.
Lee gets tackled into the cage by Umm. Umm maintains the clinch.

Umm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lee in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Umm feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lees jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Umm's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Umm has him pressed against the cage.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Umm keeps him there for the moment.

Umm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
