And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Greyson can't do much from the bottom here.

Smith has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Greyson is trying to improve his position.
Greyson stops Smith from passing to mount.
Greyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Greyson wants to control but Smith is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Greyson regains full guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith postures up in Greyson's guard and throws a big left but Greyson blocks it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Smith wants to control from the top but Greyson keeps moving.
Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Greyson as he avoids it easily.
Smith blocks a leg kick.
Greyson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Greyson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smith counters with a takedown into side control.

Smith postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
You can see the frustration on Greyson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Smith wants to control but Greyson is keeping him busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Smith thumps Greyson with a low kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Greyson tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Greyson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Greyson shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Greyson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Greyson throws a leg kick but Smith moved away.
Greyson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Greyson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Greyson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smith is trying desperately to improve position.
Smith tries to hold on but Greyson postures up.
Greyson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Greyson tries to control but Smith wriggling away.

A close second round but Karl Greyson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Smith throws a series of punches but Greyson avoids them all with ease.
Good leg kick by Greyson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A nice leg kick lands there from Greyson.
Greyson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Smith counters with a series of strikes. Greyson will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Greyson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Smith is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Greyson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
