Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Tua (ranked 1018 p4p, 1110 weight class) and Aiu BangYou (ranked 23 p4p, 47 weight class). David Tua could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aiu BangYou's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Tua !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aiu BangYou!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua misses the shot to the body.
BangYou throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tua .
BangYou is looking to land body kicks.
Tua throwing a counter right hand but BangYou manages to avoid it.
BangYou lands with a nice body punch.
BangYou connects with a body shot that sends Tua 's belly button to the back.
Tua takes a head kick and keeps coming.
BangYou throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tua misses with a wild body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from BangYou. Tua does a little dance to reset his feet.
BangYou feints and then cracks Tua 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tua down.
BangYou looks for a takedown but Tua sprawls well.
Tua looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tua enables BangYou to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tua manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Tua manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Tua tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tua is trying to break free.
BangYou is working for takedown but Tua is calmly controlling the position for now.
BangYou scores a nice knee to the body.
Tua misses with a punch on the inside.
Tua goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Tua lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
BangYou looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
BangYou jumps guard but Tua turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
David Tua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aiu BangYou.
BangYou jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tua walks away with a smile on his face. BangYou gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
BangYou moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tua fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches BangYou on the side of the head.

BangYou comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tua throws a head kick that misses.
Aiu BangYou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tua swings and misses with a hook to the body.
BangYou connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Tua staying out of range there.
Tua slips under a jab from BangYou.
Tua is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
BangYou scores with a hook to the body. Tua takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tua gets tackled into the cage by BangYou. BangYou maintains the clinch.
Tua misses with a hook to the ribs.
BangYou tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tua misses with a body punch.
BangYou drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tua pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tua tries to move into range but BangYou moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tua checks a low kick from BangYou.
David Tua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice defenses there by BangYou.
BangYou swings widly with a right hand
enabling Tua to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Aiu BangYou has been cut.
Tua lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

BangYou closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tua 's guard.
Tua wants to get back to his feet but BangYou is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
BangYou postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tua is trying to control the position from the bottom.
BangYou throwing strikes from guard but Tua blocks nicely.
BangYou wants to control from the top but Tua keeps moving.
Tua might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
BangYou trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tua preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
BangYou in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tua swings widly with a right hand
and BangYou counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aiu BangYou dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Aiu BangYou's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tua throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
BangYou lands with a nice body kick.
BangYou lands with a kick to the temple. Tua shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Tua tries to score with a low kick but BangYou moves his leg out of the way.
Tua takes a head kick and keeps coming.
BangYou throws a head kick but Tua moves out of range.
Tua lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
BangYou pushes Tua away with a front kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick from BangYou misses.
Tua jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
The fighters circle momentarily. BangYou darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tua drops his hands momentarily and BangYou takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Tua throws a chopping leg kick but BangYou manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Tua throws a hook but BangYou avoids it easily.
Tua ducks under a wild hook from BangYou.
BangYou has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
BangYou cracks Tua with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
BangYou pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tua swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
BangYou feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tua s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tua lands with a nice body punch.
Tua swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

BangYou decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tua manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. BangYou keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tua misses with a body punch.
Tua is leaning against BangYou and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Tua gets through BangYou's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
BangYou jumps guard but Tua stands there with BangYou around his waist. BangYou gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tua pushes BangYou back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
BangYou is breathing heavily.
Tua working some nice short punches in the clinch.
BangYou tries to pull guard but Tua holds him up against the cage and eventually BangYou drops back down to his feet.
Tua avoids a wild elbow strike from BangYou.
Tua swings away with an uppercut that misses.

BangYou wants the takedown. Tua is fighting it off but BangYou persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tua 's guard against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tua looking for a sweep. Not yet Tua , not yet.
Tua is looking to stand up but BangYou isn't so interested in that idea.
Tua has control of BangYou's left arm, preventing BangYou from doing any damage.

BangYou stops Tua from standing up.

BangYou drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and BangYou jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tua keeping moving, preventing BangYou from controlling successfully.
BangYou pushes down on Tua 's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tua tries to get to full guard but BangYou has control of the leg.
Aiu BangYou has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tua is trying to control but can't.
BangYou has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
BangYou throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
BangYou keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

BangYou shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tua is trying to defend but BangYou finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
BangYou throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
BangYou sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tua defending well though.
BangYou wants to control but Tua is keeping him busy.

Aiu BangYou showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Tua avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

BangYou throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tua was covering up waiting for the punch and BangYou finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tua has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes BangYou off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Tua ducks down and throws a hook to the body but BangYou moves away.
BangYou keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

BangYou moves out of range of the strikes.
BangYou blocks a jab.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tua checks a leg kick.
BangYou connects with a looping right hand.
Tua lands a head shot.

BangYou bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tua is looking to work his way out of this bad position but BangYou is controlling him well.
Tua is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Tua is looking for a sweep. BangYou is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
David Tua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

BangYou works his way into full mount!
BangYou avoids the attempt from Tua to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tua is trying desperately to improve position.

BangYou is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tua has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tua !
BangYou can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tua controls the pace.

BangYou is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tua defends well.
BangYou throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

BangYou working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tua has passed into half guard!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Aiu BangYou is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tua wants to free his trapped foot but BangYou is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tua is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed BangYou to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Tua is fighting to break BangYou's control of his arms but BangYou is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
