Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bonesteel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CJ Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonesteel comes to the cage accompanied by Battery. Charles Bonesteel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Bonesteel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Turner! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonesteel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bonesteel trying to mount his opponent but Turner defends it. Turner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bonesteel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bonesteel's back! Bonesteel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. You can see the frustration on Bonesteel's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bonesteel breaks Turner's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner controls Bonesteel momentarily but Bonesteel frees himself. Bonesteel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turner is keeping the position for now. Turner wriggles free and stands up. Turner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner tries for a takedown but Bonesteel circles away easily and Bonesteel counters with a shoot takedown. Turner fights it but they end up in guard. Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bonesteel postures up.
Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bonesteel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Turner works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Turner working a defensive guard here.
Bonesteel stops Turner from standing up. Bonesteel stopping the sweep attempt from Turner.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Turner takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonesteel gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bonesteel is trying to break free. Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bonesteel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bonesteel lands a right hook to the body.
Bonesteel rushes Turner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bonesteel is looking to break free of the clinch but Turner has double underhooks. Bonesteel lands a hook to the side of the head. Bonesteel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Turner has him pressed against the cage. Bonesteel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bonesteel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bonesteel is breathing heavily. Bonesteel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turner bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bonesteel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Turner misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown by Turner or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonesteel which made him look bad. Charles Bonesteel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Turner. Bonesteel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turner. Turner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. An inside leg kick lands from Bonesteel. Turner shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Turner misses with a head kick.

Bonesteel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Turner manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bonesteel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bonesteel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Turner is trying to maintain the position but Bonesteel is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Turner moves into full guard.
Turner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Bonesteel dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Turner fails with the takedown and Bonesteel counters with a nice uppercut. Turner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Good exchange - Bonesteel coming out on top. Turner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice shot by Bonesteel. Turner takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bonesteel shoots in and bounces Turner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Turner is trying to keep Bonesteel in close.
Bonesteel looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bonesteel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonesteel postures up.
Turner keeping moving, preventing Bonesteel from controlling successfully. Turner is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Turner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bonesteel's guard. Turner throwing strikes from guard but Bonesteel blocks nicely. Bonesteel working for a triangle but Turner defends it easily.
Turner tries to free his leg and advance position but Bonesteel is retaining full guard. Charles Bonesteel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Turner with a flurry of punches that miss. Bonesteel is adopting a defensive guard. Turner drops back looking for a leg! Bonesteel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bonesteel manages to kick Turner off! Turner jumps back into Bonesteel's guard. Bonesteel working a defensive guard here.
Turner wants to pass the guard but Bonesteel is keeping the position. Turner trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bonesteel's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonesteel looking to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bonesteel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Turner tries to kick Bonesteel off but Bonesteel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bonesteel tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Turner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bonesteel is working away from the top position though. Bonesteel prevents Turner from standing back up.
Turner is trying to maintain the position but Bonesteel is very close to passing his half guard. Bonesteel is looking for a kimura but Turner is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bonesteel to get the leverage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner wants to get back to his feet.

Bonesteel trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Turner darts in and clinches Bonesteel up against the cage. Turner keeps control of Bonesteel as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Bonesteel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Turner.
Charles Bonesteel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CJ Turner. Bonesteel lands a hook that snaps the head of Turner backwards. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bonesteel wants to break free but Turner has control.
Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bonesteel moves out of range of the body kick from Turner.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turner lands with a nice combination. Bonesteel backs away looking to recover. Bonesteel throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Bonesteel lands with a nice body punch. Turner wants to clinch. Bonesteel misses the jab. Bonesteel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Turner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bonesteel pinned against the cage. Bonesteel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bonesteel gets a clinch. Bonesteel pushes Turner back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Turner stops a takedown attempt from Bonesteel.
Bonesteel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bonesteel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Turner feints and as Bonesteel raises his hands in defense, Turner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bonesteel, up you get! Turner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Turner looking to control but Bonesteel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Turner lands a big shot there that rocks Bonesteel but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bonesteel is working to get back to half guard.
Bonesteel tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away. Turner putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Turner landing punches. Bonesteel tries to hold on but Turner postures up. Turner is landing with some decent strikes but Bonesteel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonesteel is working to get back to half guard.
Turner scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Turner looking to control but Bonesteel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Turner goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bonesteel is on top in guard.
Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bonesteel is one step ahead there. Bonesteel trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonesteel wants to stand but Turner is controlling his posture from full guard. Turner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bonesteel trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. Turner has control of Bonesteel's left arm, preventing Bonesteel from doing any damage. Turner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Turner connects with a nice short shot to Bonesteel's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Turner working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bonesteel gets full guard. Turner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Turner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Turner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bonesteel looking for a guillotine here but Turner defends easily.
Bonesteel looking to control.
Turner gets to his feet. Bonesteel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Turner tries for a takedown but Bonesteel circles away easily and Bonesteel counters with a stiff right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! CJ Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bonesteel has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
