Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lu Wai Ping (ranked 1957 p4p, 2098 weight class) and Edgy Brah (ranked 198 p4p, 220 weight class). Brah has chosen Dropped by Smoke Serpent as his entrance music. Edgy Brah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lu Wai Ping! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edgy Brah! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wai Ping scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Brah manages to mount him!
Brah looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Brah moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wai Ping has worked his arm free - good work by Wai Ping!
Brah tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brah looking to control but instead Wai Ping has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brah is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wai Ping is just riding it out for now. Brah eventually gives up the hold. Wai Ping is refusing to be controlled, as Brah sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brah is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wai Ping doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brah. Brah is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Wai Ping as he works his way to full guard.
Brah postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wai Ping is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brah, into his guard. Wai Ping is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Brah has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Crapollas Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wai Ping gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brah working for a triangle but Wai Ping defends it easily.
Brah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wai Ping is aware though and is defending well. Brah is trying to hold Wai Ping in close to prevent damage but Wai Ping has managed to pass into half guard.
Brah wants to control but Wai Ping is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brah looking for submissions off his back. Brah with the active half guard here but Wai Ping passes nicely into side control. Wai Ping is looking to take a break and control but Brah is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brah tries to buck Wai Ping off but Wai Ping is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brah tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Wai Ping presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Brah is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lu Wai Ping will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brah forces Wai Ping back against the cage and clinches. Wai Ping breaks the clinch.
Brah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wai Ping sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brah somewhat. Brah misses the shot to the body. Edgy Brah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brah shoots in looking for a takedown but Wai Ping manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brah's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wai Ping waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brah. Brah misses with a wild body shot. Wai Ping keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brah. Brah takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Brah forces Wai Ping back against the cage and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wai Ping lands a nice shot to the body. Wai Ping misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Brah tries to pull guard but Wai Ping forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Lu Wai Ping has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edgy Brah. A short right from Wai Ping. Brah blocks an elbow strike from Wai Ping.

Brah successfully pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wai Ping sitting in guard, not really doing much. Brah isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wai Ping stacks Brah on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wai Ping! Brah manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Brah looking for a submission but Wai Ping manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Brah wants to control from the top but Wai Ping keeps moving. Brah has gone for a leg lock! Wai Ping slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brah's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brah working for a triangle but Wai Ping defends it easily.
Brah looking for subs off his back but Wai Ping has passed one foot through into half guard.
Wai Ping is pressing down on Brah's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brah is holding on for now. Brah trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Wai Ping manages to pass to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brah keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Brah looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Brah is trying to break free.
Brah is still trying to improve position. Wai Ping doesn't have the hooks in and Brah manages to turn into his guard.
Brah sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wai Ping's guard. Brah is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wai Ping defends it well. Brah seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brah is looking for submissions but instead, Wai Ping has regained full guard.
Brah drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wai Ping manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brah has Wai Ping in his guard. Wai Ping won't allow Brah to sweep him here. Brah pushes a forearm under Wai Ping's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Wai Ping is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Edgy Brah! A relieved looking Edgy Brah thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Lu Wai Ping had this to say: 'Ill train hard and win fans '.
