Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adonis Stevenson (ranked 631 p4p, 489 weight class) and Bobby Bobblehead (ranked 105 p4p, 76 weight class). Bobblehead is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adonis Stevenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Bobblehead! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson looks to land a left hand but Bobblehead moved out of range nicely. Stevenson throws an overhand right that lands on Bobblehead's shoulder, as Bobblehead tries to avoid the shot. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bobblehead closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Bobblehead shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Stevenson pushes Bobblehead off and gets back to his feet. Bobblehead waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stevenson. We've been told by Stevenson's head coaches at Rickys House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Stevenson missing with a left hand there. Bobblehead was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Adonis Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bobblehead misses with a straight left. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bobblehead ducks under a wild hook from Stevenson. Stevenson moves out of range as Bobblehead strikes. Stevenson throws an off balance right hand
and Bobblehead counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bobblehead missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bobblehead postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bobblehead is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bobblehead trying to control but Stevenson is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobblehead trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bobblehead postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bobblehead wants to pass the guard but Stevenson is keeping the position. Bobblehead is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bobblehead is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bobblehead throws a strike but Stevenson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Stevenson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bobblehead has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevenson has managed to get both his arms back between Bobblehead's legs - danger averted. Stevenson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bobblehead escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevenson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bobblehead has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stevenson won't allow Bobblehead to sweep him here. Bobblehead looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stevenson has picked Bobblehead up and slammed him! Bobblehead can't keep hold of the triangle and Stevenson manages to pass to side control! Bobblehead is looking to reverse the position. Stevenson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bobblehead to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevenson throws a lazy uppercut
and Bobblehead counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bobblehead. Bobblehead trying to control but Stevenson is working from the bottom. Stevenson is looking to stand up but Bobblehead isn't so interested in that idea. Bobblehead looking to sit in guard and control but Stevenson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bobblehead looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Stevenson is posturing up here but Bobblehead has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Stevenson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Stevenson has to tap! Slick submission there by Bobblehead!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bobby Bobblehead! A less than humble Bobby Bobblehead misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
