Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bazar Al Jhit (ranked 1514 p4p, 1660 weight class) and Arod Doyea (ranked 186 p4p, 209 weight class). Al Jhit comes to the cage accompanied by The Greatest Light is the Greatest Shade. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Jhit drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Doyea wants to hit a sweep here but Al Jhit passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Doyea there!
Doyea wants to control but Al Jhit is having none of it.
Al Jhit prevents Doyea from getting the reversal.
Doyea wants to hold on but Al Jhit pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Doyea is doing well to control the position and prevent Al Jhit from advancing to side control.

Doyea thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Bazar Al Jhit will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Al Jhit doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Doyea shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Al Jhit pinned against the cage. Al Jhit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Al Jhit throws a body punch but Doyea moves out of range.
Doyea throws a looping overhand right but Al Jhit ducks down to avoid it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Al Jhit darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Al Jhit dips to his left and cracks Doyea with an uppercut!
Al Jhit goes for a double leg but Doyea avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Doyea continues to drive forward.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bazar Al Jhit dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Al Jhit looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doyea is fending him off so far but Al Jhit persists. Nope, Doyea circles away and we're back to standing.
Doyea has managed to clinch.
Doyea breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doyea closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Doyea throws a lazy right hand but Al Jhit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Al Jhit shoots for a takedown but Doyea saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Doyea takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Doyea lands a nice hook to Al Jhit's body. Al Jhit takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Al Jhit takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Al Jhit throws a body punch but Doyea moves out of range.
Doyea changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Al Jhit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doyea tries to avoid it but Al Jhit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doyea to the ground. Doyea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bazar Al Jhit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doyea tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Al Jhit paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Al Jhit tries to bum rush Doyea with a series of wild strikes but Doyea uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Doyea shoots in for a takedown but Al Jhit shows good takedown defense.

Doyea stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doyea wants it to stay on the feet.

Doyea will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Doyea working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al Jhit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al Jhit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bazar Al Jhit.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Al Jhit, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
