Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emeritus Forge (ranked 23405 p4p, 4977 weight class) and Luka Poli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forge comes to the cage accompanied by Cirice. Luka Poli will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Emeritus Forge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luka Poli!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Forge.
Poli scores with a jab to the body.
Forge wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A big right from Forge misses.
Poli shoots in for a takedown but Forge shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Poli tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Forge defends well and Poli ends up having to push Forge into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Forge throws a right hand that Poli ducks under and follows up with a left that Poli also avoids with ease.
Poli misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Poli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Forge looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Poli uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Forge.

Poli tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Forge paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Forge misses with a wild combination.
Poli swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Forge counters with a shoot takedown. Poli fights it but they end up in guard.
Poli has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Forge has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Forge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Poli on the ground.
Poli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Forge pushes Poli off but Poli dives into side control.

Forge on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Forge tries to get out of the position.
Forge sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Forge connects with a nice short shot to Poli's temple.
Forge is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Poli has managed to free his arm - good work.
Forge is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Forge is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Poli is just riding it out for now. Forge eventually gives up the hold.

Poli has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Forge is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Forge has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Forge is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Poli is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Poli has escaped and now he's on top!
Forge bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Poli's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Emeritus Forge will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Poli shoots for a double leg takedown but Forge sprawls well. He's pushed Poli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sloppy strikes from Forge. Those never looked like landing.
Poli dodges the punch combination from Forge.
Poli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Forge's waist but Forge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Poli off to one side.
Poli is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Emeritus Forge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luka Poli.

Forge drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Poli manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Forge has Poli in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Forge is staying active underneath Poli, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Poli takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Forge postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Poli is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Forge, into his guard.
Forge is looking to sweep but instead, Poli has passed into half guard.

Poli seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Forge does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight!
Emeritus Forge showed his dominance in that final round.

A less than humble Emeritus Forge misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
