CACC 179: Ty vs Patterson PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; D.D Panda! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Alexander Gustafson! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Panda shoots in but no luck this time. Gustafson dives in and grabs Panda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Panda pushes down on Gustafson's head and hops out. Panda darts in looking for a takedown but Gustafson gets double underhooks and turns Panda into the ropes. Gustafson successfully pulls guard.

Panda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Panda has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here.
