Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Kowalski (ranked 24389 p4p, 6447 weight class) and Huber Schlesien (ranked 682 p4p, 587 weight class). Schlesien has chosen Arm & Tepr - Tu Sais as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Huber Schlesien! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowalski slips under a jab. Kowalski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schlesien is trying to defend but Kowalski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kowalski stalling. Schlesien wants to improve his position but Kowalski is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kowalski is trying to control. Schlesien wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kowalski is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schlesien tries to get to full guard but Kowalski has control of the leg. Kowalski is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski working Schlesien over with strikes. Schlesien is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Schlesien is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schlesien gets full guard. Kowalski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kowalski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Schlesien manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kowalski has Schlesien in his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kowalski is on top in guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Schlesien has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kowalski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schlesien can't keep his opponent in guard - Kowalski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kowalski seems to be working for a kimura but Schlesien defends the submission attempt. Schlesien manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski won't allow Schlesien to sweep him here. Kowalski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schlesien is keeping the position for now. Kowalski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Schlesien keeping full guard, as Kowalski tries to pass. Kowalski is working Schlesien over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kowalski postures up.
Kowalski is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kowalski stopping the sweep attempt from Schlesien. Kowalski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schlesien swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kowalski landing with the ground and pound. Schlesien throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kowalski is looking to advance position but Schlesien won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kowalski lands a nice short elbow. Kowalski could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Schlesien is holding on to half guard well. Schlesien is looking to improve his position.
Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Schlesien is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schlesien on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kowalski wants to free his trapped foot but Schlesien is holding on for dear life with his legs. Schlesien taking some punishment here, with Kowalski in his half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Kowalski dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Kowalski on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Kowalski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schlesien can do to turn this around? Schlesien defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kowalski. Kowalski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Schlesien! Schlesien manages to get back to half guard. Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Schlesien is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Schlesien has a hand on Kowalski's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kowalski takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Kowalski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Schlesien to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Schlesien shrugs it off. Schlesien looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Schlesien is looking to improve his position but Kowalski isn't that keen on the idea. Schlesien is squirming around, avoiding Kowalski's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schlesien sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Schlesien slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Schlesien manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kowalski manages to get himself to full guard.

Schlesien with a flurry of punches that miss. Schlesien is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kowalski has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Schlesien is looking to defend but Kowalski has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Schlesien! Kowalski pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Schlesien taps out and this one is all over!
