Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Big (ranked 5097 p4p, 5102 weight class) and Monky Business (ranked 569 p4p, 567 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Monky Business!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Big instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Big's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Big is trying to pull guard but Business turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Big tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Business breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Big scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Business fails with a takedown attempt.
Big dodges the punch combination from Business.
Big is looking to counter the offense by Business and move into the clinch.

Business closes the distance and pushes Big back into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Business breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Big shoots in for a takedown but Business shows good takedown defense.
Business throws a counter combo.

Big throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Business works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Business looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Big trying to control but Business is working from the bottom.

Big tries to free his leg and advance position but Business is retaining full guard.
Business is trying to control the position but Big postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Big appears to be looking for a big counter.
Big tries to clinch up.

Big moves into range and clinches up with Business.
Big tries to circle away but Business has him pinned against the cage.
Business is trying to pull guard but Big turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Big shoots in and drives through. Business sprawls well.
Big tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

You can see the frustration on Big's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Business advances nicely into full mount.

Business jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Big manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Business is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Big's shoulder. That is not cool.
Business trying to control the action but Big is working from the bottom.
Big is trying to control Business's posture but Business avoids it.

Big tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Business wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Big is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Business has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Business wants to stand but Big is controlling his arm.
Big knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Business on the ground.
Big is looking for a sweep.
Business wants to take a breather but Big manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Business.
Big controls Business momentarily but Business frees himself.
Business slips nicely into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Business is looking to advance position but Big won't allow it.
Big keeping control of the position.
Business content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Big is trying to stand back up but Business is controlling him

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Monky Business comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Business has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
