Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Sharpe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Sharpe! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Sharpe. Sharpe gets slowly back to his feet. Sharpe clinches up with Davis and pushes him back against the cage. Sharpe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Davis prevents it.
Sharpe manages to break the clinch.
Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Davis. Davis swinging wilding here.
Davis keeps the fight on the outside. Davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sharpe moves into the clinch. Davis wants a takedown.
Davis wants to break free but Sharpe has control.
Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Sharpe won't allow it.
Sharpe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A head kick misses from Davis. Davis misses with a combination
and Sharpe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sharpe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Michael Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Sharpe. Sharpe defending well as Davis loads up on a big left hand. Sharpe lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Davis backs up against the cage.
Davis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Davis misses with a body punch
and Sharpe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davis is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Davis gets caught flat footed, as Sharpe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sharpe controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I looks like Sharpe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Davis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sharpe stands and steps away. Davis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Davis seems to have got his legs back now. Sharpe misses with a double jab.
Davis falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sharpe counters with a two punch combo. Sharpe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Davis is breathing heavily. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sharpe.
Sharpe rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage. Davis breaks the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Davis. Sharpe lands with a nice combination. Davis backs away looking to recover.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sharpe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sharpe is pulling down on Davis's head. It's preventing any offense from Davis, at least for the moment. Sharpe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davis manages to get himself to full guard.
Sharpe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sharpe stands up from Davis's guard - Sharpe perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sharpe has Davis up against the cage in a clinch.
Sharpe cracks Davis with a nice body shot. Davis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Sharpe lands a body punch. Sharpe lands a shot to the body. Sharpe tries to score a body lock takedown but Davis shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sharpe breaks the clinch.
Sharpe is working the combinations to good effect here. Sharpe swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Davis. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sharpe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sharpe working the head and body with strikes. Sharpe controlling the action here. Sharpe passes the guard and advances to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sharpe counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sharpe punishes Davis's body with a nice straight punch. Sharpe is looking to clinch. Sharpe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sharpe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Davis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sharpe is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sharpe content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Sharpe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sharpe passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sharpe takes a little break here. Davis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sharpe connects with a decent elbow. Sharpe working the body and head with strikes. A lull in the action here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Michael Sharpe just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sharpe instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sharpe lands a nice shot to the body. Davis wants a takedown but no success here.
Sharpe turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sharpe manages to end up in side control. Sharpe controlling the position. Davis is looking for a sweep. Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sharpe on the ground. Sharpe taking a breather here. Sharpe advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis is trying to stand up. Sharpe with the ground and pound from mount. Sharpe controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Sharpe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Sharpe tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Davis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sharpe stays in close to Davis's body and controls the position. Sharpe trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Sharpe tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard. Sharpe is stalling in the full guard. Michael Sharpe has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Despite being in the dominant position, Michael Sharpe just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Davis jabbing away but nothing is landing. Davis misses with a hook to the body
and Sharpe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sharpe's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sharpe duly obliges. Sharpe closes the distance and pushes Davis back into the cage. Sharpe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Michael Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sharpe throws a shot to the body.
Sharpe throws a leg kick that misses. Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Sharpe's shoulder, as Sharpe tries to avoid the shot. Davis missing with a left hand there. Sharpe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Michael Sharpe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to clinch but Sharpe slips to the side and Sharpe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now. Sharpe sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sharpe is working Davis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Sharpe with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sharpe pushes down on Davis's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Sharpe seems content to control. Sharpe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sharpe in particular looking to stall. Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position. Sharpe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sharpe scoring with strikes but Davis is staying in there. Michael Sharpe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sharpe landing strikes, looking to finish! Davis trying desperately to get to his feet.
Sharpe controlling from mount. Davis takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Sharpe has hold of Davis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Davis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Michael Davis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sharpe controlling the pace for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Sharpe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sharpe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
