Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emperor (ranked 3416 p4p, 7076 weight class) and Isadore James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emperor comes into the arena with Enae Volare Mezzo blaring out of the sound system. James has chosen Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Isadore James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fedor Emperor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isadore James! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for James with that takedown attempt. Emperor throws an overhand right that lands on James's shoulder, as James tries to avoid the shot. James is trying to counter with his kicks. Emperor swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big right from Emperor misses. James darts in looking for a takedown but Emperor gets double underhooks and turns James into the cage. James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Emperor pinned against the cage. Emperor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fedor Emperor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isadore James. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emperor throws a hook but James blocks it. James moves in looking to clinch but Emperor pushes him off. Emperor jabs James right on the nose. James blinks but takes it well. Emperor throws a looping overhand right but James ducks down to avoid it. James darts in trying to clinch and Emperor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emperor gets tackled into the cage by James. James maintains the clinch. James wants a takedown.
Emperor lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Emperor slowing the pace effectively. James jumps guard but Emperor stands there with James around his waist. James gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
James wants to get back to striking at distance but Emperor won't allow it.
James tries to circle away but Emperor has him pinned against the cage. James is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Emperor to keep the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Emperor.
Emperor lands a shoulder strike. Emperor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with James's elbow. James blocks an uppercut.
Emperor keeps control of James as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. James breaks the clinch.
James has his takedown stuffed and Emperor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Emperor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. James scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Fedor Emperor has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emperor cracks James with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. James tries to clinch there but Emperor circles away.
Emperor tries to clinch but James is having none of it. Emperor throws a chopping leg kick but James manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Isadore James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emperor cracks James with a right hand to the side of the head. Emperor getting the better of the striking in that exchange. James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Emperor. Emperor cracks James with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. James throws a solid leg kick but Emperor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at James. James fails to land the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Emperor misses the target. James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Emperor throws out the jab. James moves to clinch but Emperor breaks away and Emperor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice takedown defense from Emperor. No joy for James on that attempt. James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Emperor. Emperor is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Emperor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Emperor misses with a looping left. A big right from Emperor misses. James avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Emperor looks to land a left hand but James moved out of range nicely. Emperor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Emperor counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Fedor Emperor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fedor Emperor's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. James throws a shot to the body.
James ducks under a wild hook from Emperor. Emperor clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage. Emperor wants to take the fight to the mat but James manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. James has hold of one of Emperor's legs. Emperor is fighting the takedown attempt but James gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Emperor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Emperor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in James's guard. Emperor distracts James with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emperor scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Emperor scoring with some ground and pound. Emperor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Emperor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Emperor showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emperor lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Emperor's corner is telling him to maintain position. Emperor cracks James with a solid left hand. Emperor cracks James with a solid left hand. Emperor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that James can do to turn this around? Emperor working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of James's head. Emperor controlling from the top position. Emperor distracts James with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Emperor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Emperor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. We've been hearing that Emperor has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Emperor working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Emperor works a leg free and moves into half guard. Emperor lands with a punch from half guard. Emperor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks James with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Emperor landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. James wants to control but Emperor passes into side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emperor grinds an elbow into James's temple. Emperor working the head with strikes. James takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
James is rocked! Emperor lands a strong strike to the head of James. That's dazed him! Emperor looking to finish here. James is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Emperor lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fedor Emperor! An out of breath Fedor Emperor thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
