Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvacion on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Varelans. Varelans obviously looking to wear him down.
Paul Varelans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Salvacion throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Varelans was covering up waiting for the punch and Salvacion finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Salvacion seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Varelans lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Salvacion crumples to the floor! Varelans milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
